Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it under the consideration of another journal. In the latter situation, an explanation have to be provided in Comments to the Editor.
  • The submitted manuscript is in Word format with pagination and line numbering.
  • Bibliographic references numbered in the order of appearance in the text and placed in parentheses (Arabic numeral). All references must be cited in the text (including those cited in figures and tables). References must be written according to "Vancouver" style.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point "Times New Roman" font; employs bold for titles and italic for subtitles. Illustrations (figures, tables,...) are placed within the text at the appropriate places, rather than at the end.
  • The title page should be submitted separately and should include: title in English and French, authors with their respective affiliations, telephone number of corresponding author, word count, conflicts of interest and acknowledgements.
    Specify whether the author(s) used a chatbot for writing or linguistic editing of the manuscript
  • All authors and their full affiliations must be submitted in the dedicated space on the platform (in English and French).
    Authors' affiliations written in a single line as follows: University of xxxxx, Faculty of Medicine of xxxx, postal code, Hospital xxxx, Service of xxxx, Research structure (name and code), postal code, City, Country.
    The use of ORCIDs is strongly encouraged.
  • New payment regime from 1st April 2024: Submission to La Tunisie Médicale is free of charge. Upon acceptance, a fee of 300 DT will be charged regardless of the type of item.
